Reem Island

Presently home to 20,000 residents, Al Reem Island commonly viewed as “the new Abu Dhabi”, is a residential, commercial and business master planned community currently under development on the north east coast of Abu Dhabi Island. Spread across 6.5 million square meters and poised to host multiple communities, the Island is being developed by master developers Aldar Properties, Reem Developers and Tamouh.

Adjacent to Abu Dhabi mainland and connected by the 11th Street Bridge with four major bridges and two bridges under construction plus another two more planned in the future, this multi-billion dollar mixed use community is one of Abu Dhabi’s most ambitious projects. The master plan in line with Abu Dhabi 2030 Vision, includes six nursery schools, the Paris-Sorbonne University, mosques, shopping malls, hospitals, art galleries, hotel rooms and serviced apartments, 500 square meters of parks, open spaces and shopping promenades along the islands coastline. 210,000 people are expected to reside on Al Reem Island upon its completion.
